Description
Continental, first half 20th century. A Neoclassical style Vernis Martin giltwood demilune vitrine or display case, having an overhanging top, a scrolled acanthine frieze with Roman theatre masks and bellflowers drop, with a curved central glass door and two curved side panels, over hand painted panels, the central depicting a courting aristocratic couple, with incurvate front legs and squared tapering back legs. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 54.5", width 26.125", depth 13.5".
