Description
Stieff Company (American(Maryland) 1892-1979), circa 1940s. 81 piece sterling silver flatware set in the "Williamsburg Queen Anne" pattern comprising ten (10) old French dinner knives (8.5"), twelve (12) old French dinner knives (10.12"), thirteen (13) dinner folks (7.75"), ten (10) salad forks (6.5"), sixteen (16) teaspoons, (5.75"), six (6) ice tea spoons (7"), six (6) dessert spoons (6.75"), one (1) serving spoon (7.87"). Sterling accompanied with fitted, felt lined Eureka Pacific silver box. Total approximate weight less standard allotment for stainless elements 98.17 troy ounces. Note: Colonial Williamsburg commissioned Stieff to create the Queen Anne pattern.
Condition
Surface scratches to all pieces commensurate with age and use. No signs of monogram removal (however, pervasive surface scratches throughout entirety of form and set). 1 dinner fork with losses to bottom handle (likely from falling into garbage disposal). Two teaspoons with chips and losses to rim of spoon basin (likely from falling into garbage disposal). All other pieces with no additional damage or issues to form.
