Description
Chinese School, 19th century. Hand painted figural painting on silk depicting the Buddhist Immortal, Shou Lao (God of Longevity) standing at full length with white beard next to a docile white spotted deer, wearing white and brown robe with cloud motif and holding walking stick, amid stylized clouds, reddish sun in upper center. Lower center with two character mark in black above faded red seal chop mark. Work within embroidered silk border with repeating crane and floral motif. Framed approximately 40.9" x 19.9".
