Description
RomWeber (American, Batesville, Indiana, founded 1897), mid 20th century. A Viking Oak poker table, having seven sides and a black leather inset top, each place with a reversible chip compartment, on an open birdcage base with shoe feet, together with four matching barrel back chairs, each with a black leather back, a shaped seat, and four turned legs. All with branded mark to underside. Approximate height (of table) 29.75", diameter 60.5", height (of chair) 32.75", width 27.75", depth 22", seat depth 16.5", seat to floor 17". Provenance: From the Estate of Miss Charlotte Topping Smith of Atlanta, Georgia (married name: Mrs. Rankin Smith), wife of Rankin M. Smith (1924-1997) former owner of the Atlanta Falcons.
