Description
Lanier Meaders (American, Georgia, 1917-1998), circa 1970s. A dark to light green underfired glazed face jug, having painted white eyes and black pupils, incised eyelashes, a pointed nose and ears, six painted white teeth, and an applied strap handle. Signed to underside. Approximate height 9", diameter (including ears) 7". Provenance: From the Estate of Liz Howell Bloodworth, Atlanta, Georgia.
Condition
Some very minor surface and shelf wear/ Some glazing and firing imperfections. Left ear has been broken and repaired. Abrasion to nose, firing crack to corner of mouth. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
