SC-9 SCROLL PRESSED OPEN SALT, colorless, tiny waffle base, raised on four scrolled feet. Rare. Probably France. 1835-1850. 1 5/8" H, 1 3/4" x 3 1/4".
Near proof with moderate mold roughness to one corner scroll, otherwise only minor mold roughness.

Provenance: Collection of Paul and Monica Harvey, Naples, FL.
Catalogue Note: This is the first example of this salt that we have sold suggesting it is much harder to find than its "Rare" designation indicates.
