Including: War of 1812 Eagle Head Officer's Sword initialed W.B., Framed letter dated 1812 from Elizabeth Kimball to Juliana for her to appeal to Mrs. Bainbridge to ask her husband Captain Bainbridge for her brother Benj. Kimball leave to visit., portrait miniature (possibly Bainbridge) dated 1833, Mrs. Commodore Bainbridge's locket, brass and steel seal "Tria Junato in umo", gold and steel signet ring with coat of arms of Lieutenant-Colonel John Graham who established a military outpost in South Africa in 1812, Prayer Book, daguerreotype of Mrs. Bainbridge and a cdv copy, gold locket with (2) daguerreotypes etc. All contained in an inlayed "jewel" box once belonging to Elizabeth Frances (Pearson) Turner. Provenance: By direct descent: Beginning with Julia Ann Dowling who was Commodore Bainbridge wife's companion who stayed with Mrs. Bainbridge at Russell House, Medford MA while Commodore Bainbridge was at sea. To her daughter Julia Ann Turner, to her daughter Hatty Devens Turner to her son Arthur Devens Raymond, to his son Wilbur Devens Raymond to his son Daven Kettell Raymond.A letter dated October 23, 1996 from Governor Dan Walker discusses the interest the US Navel Academy might have if the family was interesting in disposing it.
