"Derogy's Patent VR" Petzval-Type Lens, 1858 and earlier
Early portrait lens with undefined focal length. Rear element not original (oval model, see picture), approx. 8 cm focal length, built without diaphragm, with rack-and-pinion focusing, front glass element not marked. Height of the lens with hood 4 in., front element Ø 1 ½ in., with connecting ring. – An exciting study subject.

Petzval-Typ-Objektiv: "Derogy's Patent VR", 1858 und früher
Frühes Portraitobjektiv mit unbestimmter Brennweite. Rückseitige Linse nicht original (ovale Bauart, siehe Photo), hieraus ergibt sich eine Brennweite von nur 8 cm, Objektivkonstruktion noch ohne Blendeneinschub, Triebverstellungen, vordere Linsen nicht bezeichnet. Höhe des Objektivs mit Gegenlichtblende 10 cm, vordere Objektivlinse Ø 4 cm, Anschlußring. – Ein hochinteressantes Forschungsobjekt!
