A late 19th century French silver gilt shaped cylindrical tea caddy, apparently no maker's mark, 1838-1972 1st standard, engraved L Lepar as retailer, in early 18th century style, with panels of shells and leaves in relief and engraved with scrolls, the pull-off cover with a cypher, 15cm (6in) high, 439g (14.1 oz) Leon Lepar traded from 1878 to 1897 at 16 rue de Choiseul, Paris.
