Pablo Ruiz y Picasso (1881 – 1973), was a Spanish painter, sculptor, print-maker, and ceramicist who spent most of his adult life in France. Being regarded as one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, Picasso is known for co-founding the Cubist movement.
Picasso's extraordinary artistic talent was displayed in his early years, and was exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life. Painting in a naturalistic manner through his childhood and adolescence and during the first decade of the 20th century, his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas.
