A Rarely Han dynasty(202-220 BC) style pair white jade lidded vases inlaid pink and dark blue gemstones being surrounded by filamentary gold. There are finely carved motif and relief of Chinese seal Characters on vases with inlaid filamentary silver following on curve carved of shape. Filamentary gold or silver inlaid along with carved shape is a special features of technical skills in Han dynasty according to Chinese ancient jade experts. Dragon vase has 9 Gemstones which means 9 is maximum number and an odd number that odd number in Chinese is Yang. An Emperor in ancient Chinese is a number one and Yang so-called "An Emperor Exclusively Prerogative". The Phoenix vase has 10,even number,colorful gemstones in which means 10 is Yin belongs to Empress. There are Mark "Jian Yuan" that is one of years in periods of Han dynasty, The handles of pair vases are finely carved by lion-style head with loosen rings.

罕见汉代高古玉-----“白玉镶嵌宝石龙凤象耳瓶”，白色龙玉瓶镶嵌9个深绿及粉色宝石，为“九五之尊”，皇帝之意，白色凤凰玉瓶镶嵌10个深绿及粉色宝石，每颗宝石周围均嵌入金丝，瓶体部分雕刻嵌入银丝，篆字为阳文，款文“建元”为阴阳文，整体工艺极其精细，体现2000多年前中国雕刻工艺已经达到非凡境界。玉器嵌（错）入金银丝是汉代玉器雕刻特有工艺。该“白玉镶嵌宝石龙凤瓶”是罕见存世之宝，对于研究汉代玉器雕刻工艺有其参考价值。

该藏品100多年前流入海外，为美国知名收藏家收藏。
