YUGOSLAVIA: Small selection of signed telegrams, T.L.S., and a photograph, from members of the Yugoslav Royal family, comprising, Alexander I (1888-1934, King of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, 1921-1929, on a telegram to Queen Marguerite de Savoie), Queen Marie (1900-1961, consort to Alexander I, on a telegram to Colonel Boyle, London, which states intriguingly 'Situation such that babes in the wood think that you can actually be most useful standing up for them in England. Am able to keep in touch with them. Slightly better news. Mignon well and happy shall be here ten days.'), Peter I (1844-1921, King of Serbia 1903-1921, signed as 'Pierre' on a vintage 5 x 7 photograph, date 1910 in the hand of the King). Together with, T.L.S., signed by a Yugoslav Minister, one page, 4to, London, 13th November, 1934, to John Stones, on the printed stationery of the Royal Yugoslav Legation. Stating in part 'I wish to thank you… in sending me a copy of your tribute to the memory of His late Majesty King Alexander of Yugoslavia…' The image of Peter I has damage caused by clear tape, affecting the 'e' in Pierre.
