Tiffany & Co. New York Antique Wedged Crystal & Solid Sterling Silver Folding Double Perfume Bottle RARE - This stunning, and amazingly rare find was created by Tiffany & Co. New York. This is one of the earliest displays of Tiffany's "Perfume bottle creations." This piece is made of wedged crystal, and has solid sterling silver tips. The piece is marked "Tiffany & Co New York." This piece is a double sided perfume bottle and vinaigrette holder, and both compartments are kept separate, as the piece folds and has a "folding hinge" partition with a crystal insert to keep the contents separate. This design was far ahead of its time, and is truly an iconic depiction of why Tiffany & Co still remains one of the most sought after names in the collector world. The piece is in amazing condition for its age. The piece does have a small break on the crystal (underneath one of the tops). This does not affect the functionality of the piece, and cannot be seen while the top is screwed on. The top piece still screws on tightly, and contents are secured on both sides. This is truly a rare find, as there is believed to be less than 4 of these pieces in existence. Measures: 5.25" x 1.25". The lid is monogrammed "MRT". You will never see another piece like this, as they simply do not show up on the market very often.
