Rare Patola Double Ikat Silk Trade Cloth, 18/19th Century. Double ikat (warp and weft) heirloom silk trade cloth from Gujarati, India. Natural dyes on handspun silk; probably from 1700s or 1800s. Traded into Indonesia and acquired by consignor in Klungkung, Bali in mid 20th c. Fair condition, commensurate with age and use. Size: 33.5'' x 82'' (85 x 208 cm). Provenance: Collection of Monroe and Carol Whitaker.
