This impressively large oil painting (34.5"x53.5" framed) is softly rendered in a sophisticated Impressionistic style which is distinctly modern. The forms are simplified and somewhat flattened, and the colors are clean and modulated. Although the painting is unsigned, it appears to be the work of someone who was either part of- or influenced by - a group of mid-Twentieth Century modern Impressionist painters in France.
The painting is attractively framed in a simple coved gold wood molding. There is a label from a Florida picture framer on the back. The frame and the painting are both in good condition.
