Description
This is an excellent Osage Native American Indian feathered beaded head dress from circa 1900. The early-20th century Chief’s headdress was recovered from an Old Indian family in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The piece shows a wonderful beaded brow band with early trade brass beads and hawk bells. This also shows drops of old dyed horsetail hair accenting the tips of the feathers. The piece comes with a custom museum display for use on a wall. Provenance: From the personal collection of renowned collector and foremost knowledge on war clubs and tomahawks, Mark Francis. The Francis collection piece has been authenticated and is truly a museum quality artifact. Fits approximately a 7.5 and bigger head. Front is 20"H and the back is 20"H.
