AMERICAN FOLK ART CARVED CANES / WALKING STICKS, LOT OF TWO, one example with bird-head handle, tack eyes, above collar inscribed "J. H. R. Sanford 1906", plain shaft with notched decoration, natural surface; other with pyrographic decoration featuring Native American motifs, inscribed "David. W. Osahgee / June 30, 1906", natural surface. Together with a handled example of undetermined origin featuring alligator and snake. Three pieces total. Early 20th century. 32" to 36" L.
Very good condition overall with minor usage wear, one with later rubber tip.
Provenance: Property from the private collection of Audrey "Dolly" and the late William "Billy" Journell, Leesburg, VA.
