Description
A fine and rare Korean white glazed porcelain water pot ewer. 19th century Korea, Joseon Dynasty. Of globular shape having a bamboo form loop handle and short s-curved spout. Domed shaped lid with knob finial, recessed base and raised low foot ring with kiln residues. Overall applied thick, translucent bluish tinged white glaze. Measures 7" high to top of handle, 6.75" wide to end of spout.
CONDITION NOTE: old and small minor repair to end of spout. The lid with two small chips, see photos.
