DESCRIPTION: Lot of 6 Russian lacquered papier mache boxes. The first is a box embellished with a rendering of a regal woman presenting a vessel on a tray. The second features a rendering of a regal soldier holding a sword, on horseback, with a scenic backdrop of a city and a battle of ships. The third is a rendering of a princess flanked by two men and a chariot being pulled by elegantly saddled horses. The fourth is a rendering of St. Petersburg. The fifth is a rendering of soldiers on horseback riding into a rustic village as a women presents water to a soldier on horseback. The last is a rendering of a grandmother and grandfather pulling a pumpkin out of the ground as their granddaughter plays with their pets. All are signed by the artist and finished with gilded accents along the borders.
