Description
A George III silver mug, of typical form with scroll capped handle and later florally embossed decoration surrounding an asymmetrical monogrammed cartouche, the whole raised upon a circular stepped foot. Hallmarked Francis Crump, London 1771. Height measuring 3 6/8 inches (9.5 cm), weight 5.84 ozt (181.6 grams).
Condition
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing and remnants of polish visible amongst the decoration and around edges. Cartouche has an engraved monogram, possibly 'G O'. Hallmarks clear and legible.
