A Kashan White Glazed Lantern, Persia 12th Century, the vessel of almost bee hive form surmounted by a strap handle, the sides pierced with ventilation holes, the front with a large apperture for the oil-lamp, covered in an irridescent glaze, height 19.5cms; together with A Cantagalli maiolica mug in the Iznik style, circa 1900, 13.5cm high, blue cockerel mark; A Group of Seven Kashan and Nishapur Bowls and Dishes, 10th-12th Century, of various shapes and decoration, diameter 13cms to 25.7cms and A Safavid Blue and White Ewer, 17th Century, the globular body resting on a slightly splayed foot and rising to a knopped neck withpinched mouth, the side set with a strap handle and simple spount, decorated in underglaze blue with formal designs and motifs, height 15.5cms Provenance: The Mohamed Makiya Collection (1914-2015)
