Item Details

Description

Standard Civil War military issue six shot, single action with full octagon barrel. Two piece walnut grips and brass trigger guard. No visible cartouche on grips. Military inspector mark "A" on left side of frame in two places, "J" on barrel, "A" on right side of barrel and frame. Its basically an all brown patina. Grips are very good with five kill notches on left side. Muzzle is extremely rounded from holster wear, replaced front sight, readable barrel legends, original nipples, cylinder indexes perfectly and strong rifling in bore. Fine homogeneous, as found condition that definitely saw some action. Serial Number-18164; Manufacturer-Remington; Model-1858 Army; Caliber-.44 percussion; Barrel Length-8"; FFL Status-Antique;
