Gun (A) is a Massachusetts Arms Company Maynard Prime pocket revolver manufactured 1851 to 1860, with total production less than 3,000 guns. Features an etched floral design six shot cylinder, round barrel, Maynard tape primer, swing-up sideplate and exposed hammer. Metal is basically a grey patina. Walnut stocks are excellent. Top of barrel is stamped "Mass Arms Co Chicopee Falls". Nice visible cylinder etching. Revolver is not working and needs attention. Gun (B) is a Remington Arms double Deringer Type II Model 3 manufactured 1888 to 1911. It is in the much scarcer factory blue finish, of which 20% remains, mostly in recesses, with the balance being a smooth, clean grey patina. Action is perfect. Hinge is tight and never repaired. Strong, clean rifled bores. Black composite grips are excellent.
