Pre-Columbian, Peru, north coast, Chancay culture, ca. 800 to 1300 CE. Colorful textile panel woven in shades of brown, red, tan and blue. Upper register contains 5 colorful women apparently nude from the waist up, arms outstretched. Below is a double panel of woven abstract birds. A very fine example in a Lucite frame and ready to display! Size of textile: 34" W x 6.75" H (86.4 cm x 17.1 cm). Size of frame: 38" x 10.5"
