Notes: The Moorcroft company notes its founding as 1897 when young William Moorcroft was given studio space at James Macintyre & Company and developed his now famous Florian Ware with tubelined decoration, which won a gold medal at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. Moorcroft established his own pottery in 1913 and produced an extensive array of moderately-priced domestic tableware items in addition to the tubelined, hand-painted art pottery.
