Description

Hard to find pre civil war sailors rig / bowie knife with bone/ stag handle and pewter guard 3/16â€ thick, pewter end cap with cutout design. The blade has incredible inscribed design on one side of blade American Clipper Ship with 3 masts and American flag, canons on both ends of ship, and many dolphins or whales swimming in the water surrounding the ship. Stamped N.Y. Other side has boat anchor with U.S inscribed on blade. Total length 8 1/4'', blade is 4 1/4''. Condition for age very good some spotting and mottling with no pitting. Great piece of American Maritime Nautical history.
