Description
Ancient Near East, Anatolia, ca. 2nd millenium BCE. This is a hand-formed terracotta altar in the form of a four sided pillar, decorated with divine figures on each side. Two standing figures are female, and two enthroned figures are a bearded male and the other likely female. Size: 4" L x 3.5" W x 6.45" H (10.2 cm x 8.9 cm x 16.4 cm)
