Description
Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Middle Bronze Age I-II, ca. 2200 to 1750 BCE. A pottery tripod made for placing items in a kiln onto, with small "feet" for raising them above the floor of the kiln and "hooks" for holding it in place. This is a fascinating glimpse into the firing process that created the remaining vessels we have from this period. Size: 2.8" W x 1.15" H (7.1 cm x 2.9 cm)
