Description
19th century, signed LL illegibly, painting on canvas of New England coastal Indians at their fishing camp, unusual form canoe with Indian with spear in foreground, teepees and more Indians in center, mountain views, canvas with three postage stamp size patches to verso, very ornate giltwood gesso frame with minor restoration measures 19 3/4" H x 27 1/2" W x 4" D. The signature is blurry and the artist intended it that way. We can see an C and possibly a D. The signature is hidden within the weeds.
