Description
French Ebonized Two Weight Wall Clock, c. 1880, the dentillated crest topped with finials over gilt decorated glazed door, over an enamel dial clock flanked by painted floral decoration and two relief porcelain columns, over a painted base, the bottom with an acorn finial, with two iron pine cone weights, H.- 22 3/4 in., W.- 10 in., D.- 6 1/4 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. An apparent repair to the top center finial. Tip of the right finial lacking. Heavy wear to the gilt and painted decoration along the outside. Heavy chipping to the black paint on the edges of the door. A piece of trim is lacking from the middle of the left side. Back possibly new. Rust to the chain. A charming example.
