A CHINESE SINO-TIBETAN GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF THE SIX-ARMED Shadbhuja Mahakala. An elephant-headed deity, fierce fully face with three eyes and bared fangs. Red eyebrows, beard and hair flowing upward with Akshobhya as a crown. The Lord of Pristine Awareness, has six hands, the first two hands hold a chopper curved knife and skull cup, the middle two hands hold a human skull mala and trident, the lowest two hands hold a damaru drum and lasso. Adorned with a tiger skin, garland of heads, bones and snakes, and small bells on the hands and feet. Wears jewelry, a cord hung with skulls, a tiger pelt, and a crown of skulls backed by his flame-like hair. The deity, Standing in a manner with the two legs together pressing down the prone Ganapati figure on an oval lotus base. Extensive trace of gilt with red pigment on hair.
The underside with incised Quadre-foil flori-form petals visvavajra mark surrounded the centralized DaiJi.

Excellent condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, considering ages and wears.
