The gorgeous portion of high-grade Chinese green jade carved into a slightly tapered deep round vessel, raised on a ring foot base, with domed lid embellished by open-work carving celadon jade medallion. The circular top medallion shows expert carving of pierced dragon and phoenix motif amongst entwined dense floral scrolling foliate. The exterior adorned in shallow relief of geometrical silk worm pattern between numerous key fret bands. Exquisitely displayed upon open-work carved hardwood stand, with central top panel Marble medallion. A portion of this high-grade green Jade is considered quite rare. Expert workmanship is the absolute highlight of this gorgeous jar.
