Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain sturdily potted in a baluster jar, has a tall feminine silhouette with broad shoulders and a body that either tapers to the foot or pinches at the waist then elegantly fans near its foot. The baluster jar is capped by a wooden dome lid, open-work carved in floral motif, resembled a form of general's helmet, crowned with carved jade floral bud finial. The exterior decorated in various tone and shades cobalt blue under glazed of dragons amidst flames and clouds. Borders of thin lines and upturning lappets incised near the top, collar, shoulder, and foot rims and a clear blue color on a very white paste are characteristic features. The foot rim revealed the cutted edges during the process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The shape is uniformly proportioned. The jar elegantly presented upon a carved hardwood stand with comforting motif.

PROVENANCE: From The Collections of Mrs. Alice Marie Hazell, Reached the wonderful age of 81 being born in 1935-2017.
She was the spouse of the late victor Hazell together they had traveled the world together they enjoyed visiting museums and later became employed by several smaller museums, Victor Hazell was placed in charge of procuring many of the items for the various museums, while his specialties were bronzes he developed a passion for jade and porcelain items. In the early stages in his career he found that he could find items of great value that the museums had no room for or had similar items in their inventory.
Having the resources to date and value the items he found became a real serendipity for him, it started out as a few collectables to a full-scale collection.
With the sale of these collectibles it is hoped for that another private collector will add these treasures to their portfolio and treasure them as much as Victor did.
