Description
UNITED STATES, CIRCA 1943Two World War II United States Navy recruitment posters. The first was created by John Phillip Foster (1910-1982) and depicts a cheerful Navy recruit carrying his pack while strolling off to serve his country. "If you tell where he's going... He may never get there!" is boldly printed across the bottom and emphasized by a red background. The second poster was printed by the Office of War Information and displays five blue stars above a photograph of the five Sullivan brothers smiling proudly at the camera. The photograph is described as "the five Sullivan brothers 'missing in action' off the Solomons". Along the bottom of the poster the words "They did Their Part" is boldly displayed atop a red background.

The first in very good condition only showing original fold creases, the second with fold creases and small holes.
