Item Details

Description

An Adams & Westlake lantern frame with a brass top and twist off bell. There is a small brass tag soldered under the vent holes and it has "F. RUSS". This is an employee. The bell has the New England "ice spikes" attached. This was a factory option and used by some cold weather lines. The brass top has been pushed down. The CVRR stamping on the lid is in the squarish A&W lettering which is standard. It has the typical New England glass fount.

The globe is a Corning style (non-extended base) with CV RY cast in an oval panel. There are various flakes and minor rim chips. There is a "1" cast above the Corning "Cnx" logo.

fuel is leaking someplace. The storage box had a ring of oil, not a flood but a leak. There is more fuel in the pot. I got some green residue when I wiped the bell off. If this lantern is shipped, we'll have to drain it and that will take a couple of days.
