Freed Slave Colored Troop Recruiting Handbill
marked on back: All slaves were made Freemen by Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, January 1st 1863 come then able bodied colored men to the nearest United States camp and fight for the stars and stripes"
pictures a black officer with a raised sword and holding the American Flag with a streamer reading "FREEDOM TO THE SLAVE"
This is a smaller version of the 6 foot tall poster that was on the walls in the captured Southern Territories and Northeast.
