William Joseph Verdult was born April 7, 1939 in Putte, Netherlands on the Belgium-Holland border. Verdult is known for his diverse style in Classical Portraits, as well as Abstract, Contemporary, and Landscape paintings. Where did we get our Verdult Collection?
Our Verdults were purchased by Joseph Miller directly from the artist as part of an effort to launder the hundreds of millions of dollars that Miller scammed from German investors. When the FBI arrested Miller in Las Vegas in 2012, they impounded his warehouse where they seized not only the Verdults, but literally thousands of original paintings, prints and bronzes by a multitude of famous artists. Months later, the FBI auctioned off the complete contents of Millers warehouse at a government auction in Nevada. Our founder, a Greek real estate investor and savvy businessman, was in the right place at the right time and purchased the bulk of the collection and L&K Designs Art was born.
