Description
Southwestern USA, Arizona and New Mexico, Hopi Peoples, ca. 1940 CE. A wonderfully painted classic 20th century Hopi vessel with an orange burnished surface painted over with a matte black and shinier red pigment. It features the eagle tail design, which was often painted by Elva Nampeyo - this may be her work but is unfortunately unsigned. Size: 3.9" W x 6.5" H (9.9 cm x 16.5 cm)
