Condition:
The sheet is in good condition with little rippling and there are a few creases mainly in the corners. Tiny marks and very small rubbed spots can be seen along the edges. The frame is in good condition with only minor signs of wear. The image measures ca. 30 x 49 cm. The framed dimensions are 53.8 x 63.8 cm.

Paul Flora (1922-2009)
Paul Flora was born 1922 in Glurns, Southern Tyrol. He studied in Munich with Schinnerer and Gulbransson from 1942 to 1944. He worked freelance in Innsbruck starting 1945. He visited Alfred Kubin in Zwickledt, Upper Austria, marking the beginning of an artistically fruitful friendship between the two. Flora was a member of the Art-Club in Vienna and worked with the publishing house Diogenes in Zürich from 1953 onwards. He produced weekly drawings for the Hamburg paper ‘Die Zeit’ from 1957 to 1971 and was also involved with other international papers. (msc)
