Description
Two antique English Sterling Silver toddy ladles. Including one late 18th century, having an oval bowl with IH monogram of the period, hallmarked only with a lion passant and "HB", possibly for Hester Bateman, with twisted baleen handle; and one with a double-spout bowl, unmarked, hallmarks at the stem indicate Birmingham, 1905-06, maker's mark "WD" (unidentified), with a squared baleen handle. Each bowl has a very small and minor split to the rim; baleen has few fine cracks. 14 1/2 and 16" long. ESTIMATE $200-300
