Dated 1736 AD. By J. S. Tanner. Obv: Minerva standing with trophies qand emblems with BOTH HANDS FILL'D FOR BRITATIN legend and GEORGE REIGNING in exergue. Rev: Caroline standing robed watering palm trees with GROWING ARTS ADORN EMPIRE legend and CAROLINE PROTECTING in exergue over date. BCM 537; MIBH ii, 517/72. 19.75 grams, 39mm. Silver medals were given to the purchasers of a lottery ticket for a silver cistern made by Henry Jernegan. [No Reserve]
Condition
Very fine; surfaces porous.
