Description
Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque) culture, ca. 500 CE. I love this guy! A hollow pottery figure of a toad, standing naturalistically, with bent legs and head up. His facial features are nicely rendered, including popping eyes and small nostrils. He is brightly colored, with the classic Jamacoaque pigments of bright yellow and teal in circles around his body. Size: 4.5" L x 4.45" W x 2" H (11.4 cm x 11.3 cm x 5.1 cm)
