Fair, moderate edge wear, including fraying to the ends of the spine and bumped outside corners. There are numerous small chips to the pasted-on front cover illustration, which is otherwise in fair condition. The spine is cocked and with some looseness to its connection to the inside, but both front and back covers are connected. The illustrated inside cover spreads are in good condition, with an ownership notation, in ink, to the top of the front inside cover, but no other writing, and no stamps or other attachments. There are cracked gutters at the beginning and end of the book, but no loose or missing pages. There are recurrent stains, most light, to the page faces, and some darkening to the page edges. Most page faces have no stains. All eight color illustrations are present, attached, and with no notable color fade, but with sunning (tanning) to some of the borders and adjacent pages. All the text is unfaded and legible. No page tears or notable creases.
