Rare first edition (slightly more common in the 1862 second edition). The results of a joint survey commissioned in 1845 by Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware to determine the exact course of the Mason-Dixon Line through portions of those three states. Well represented in institutional collections but no copies currently located in the trade and no copies in recent auction records. Sabin 45088.
