William IV Mahogany Server, second quarter 19th century, the paneled backpiece centered by a scrolling acanthine crest and with like end carving, the long rectangular top above a plain frieze, raised on massive foliate scrolling supports to paw feet on a runner base, h. 55", w. 96", d. 25".

In "as found" condition. The top deck has old stains and some deep scratches to the front right corner. Small old veneer chips along the leading edge of the top. Appears to retain much of its original finish; however, the top surface may be an old refinish. Good patina throughout. Very dramatic and boldly carved legs.
