An Outstanding Grouping of (2) two 19th Century Chased and Engraved George Sharp Antique Trident Ball Pattern Silver Cocktail Fork Gothic Style. The fork with ball terminal over the cylindrical segmented handle continuing to the Gothic stylized Trident end with chased decoration. DETAILS: - MAKER: George B. Sharp, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Circa 1862 - MARKS: G.S., Sterling, Patent 1862 - SIZE: 5-1/2" Length. and 5-3/4" Length. - WEIGHT: 41.4 Grams (total weight for both). - CONDITION: Excellent. BACKGROUND: GEORGE B. SHARP - Philadelphia, PA Active in the 1850s working exclusively for the retailer firm Bailey & Co. From late 1860s it was in business for himself. Out of business in 1874
