Description
The Blue Boy is a full-length portrait in oil by Thomas Gainsborough, now in the Huntington Library, San Marino, California. In 1879, the painting was rendered into an etching by a London, England art publisher. The publisher, etcher and date are identified in the margins, printed from the plate, along with a small printed Remarque on the lower right. This etching is impressively large (34.5"x26.5" framed) and presented in its original gold finished wood frame, which features large beading on the outer edge. The matting is newer.
