Hand carved 19th C Louis XV good sized bench or stool from France. Beautiful floral and acanthus carving on all four sides of the scalloped apron,knees and cabriole legs with escargot feet.Original antique white painted finish with tiny bits of the wood showing through along the frame. Existing paint is adhered completely with no chipping or flaking. Newly upholstered with thick padding and high crown in antique white linen and gemp trim to match. Wonderful at the end of a bed,hallways,under a window or out in a room. High and flat enough to use as a coffee table between 2 sofas or chairs. Excellent condition,aside from the paint and very sturdy. Measures 39 L X 21.5 D X 21.5 H.
