STEPHEN MIX MITCHELL
(1745 - 1835) American Revolutionary statesman who served in the Continental Congress, filled Roger Sherman's post in the Senate, and served as Connecticut Chief Justice. A.D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., Hartford, May 25, 1792, an order to State Treasurer Peter Colt to pay the Selectmen of Berlin the sum of five pounds twelve shillings for supplies given to Jacob Gibson, "a transient person". Fine.
