Description
A Wonderful Array of U.S. Paper (and Wooden) Ephemera. This lot includes a great mix of advertising notes, scrip, wooden nickels, early checks, novelty pieces, and World War II ration booklets. We also see a "Short Snorter", an elaborately typed "Illuminati" message on the back of a $1.00 bill, a 1961 Civil War Centennial First Day Cover that includes an elongated cent, a 24 karat gold foil replica banknote, an 1897 train ticket from Albion to Eagle Harbor, and much more. Most of the material is dated from the mid-1800's through the 1940's though some is later. We count a total of well over 40 pieces, and ardently encourage close examination as our estimate may prove to be far too conservative. Est. $100.
